How This Game is Played
The game "YourFootballChallenge" originates from the
old office football pool which has been around for ages. The "confidence pool", which this game
simulates, offers websites with high traffic the best mix of player pick combinations, while still
maximizing the player's knowledge of the team's strengths and weaknesses.
Each week players are required to "make their picks". This means, that they must choose to the best
of their abilities, the teams that they feel will win their games. Some weeks there are 14 games to pick from
and others their are 16 games.
Then for each game, a player assigns a confidence number, representing how
confident they feel that team will win over their opponent. Higher confidence numbers for the "easy" games
and lower confidence numbers for the "hard" games. Confidence numbers range from 1 to the number of games for
that week and each number can only be used once for that week.
After all the games are played, all the players scores are
tabulated in the following manner - if the player picked the correct winner for a game, then they get the assigned
confidence number, sum up all the confidence numbers and that's their score.
